“Rock Warrior” was painted from a photograph taken in Boulder, Colorado at the top of a beautiful hike. The boulder had a gentle face of a man overlooking a snow covered path. I created a story for him of a guardian warrior protecting this trail leading down the mountain. My favorite parts of this piece are the intricate circles and dots used to show the lichen growing on the rock. What do you see when you look at this painting?
