Bursting – Original
Bursting • 12″ x 12″ • Original Acrylic by Karen Hilliard
This was painted from a reference photograph taken at Red Rock Canyon. The focus is the inside of a Joshua Tree. Burros eat the pods before they bloom into beautiful white flowers during Spring. Pods that are left uneaten end up turning into wood structures during the Fall. This Series of Joshua Tree Pods shows the movement and flow I see in the desert, intertwining rough and soft textures.
“Bursting” shows the Joshua Tree Pod in the center and the dried plant around it. I see a sunflower bursting with color. What do you see?
Painted on wrapped canvas with 1/2″ stretcher bar. No Hanging wire so it can be rotated on your wall any way you prefer. This will need to be framed or hung on the wall as is. Please contact the artist with any questions via the contact page.
