These interesting cluster of seed pods grow on the Joshua Trees out here in the desert. In the springtime they create breathtaking white flowers and then shrivel into hard, wood like pods in the fall.

This is painted edge to edge on a 6″x9″ sheet of cold pressed watercolor paper.
